Cindy Schneider Gish

My husband graduated from Topeka West a couple of years ahead of me but we became engaged to be married my senior year. We married in the summer of 69. We both worked in his fathers business later taking over this business. Tom and I worked together for over 20 years, Some think that is a feat in itself. It was handy for me to come and go from work as needed for our children. We built our home in 1978 and we are still living here. We are both retired and loving it. We don't travel much, only to see our children who live away. We both have health issues. I am a cancer survivor, in remission for 5 years now. I have had both my hips replaced among other surgeries since my cancer.
Tom and I have 6 grand children from ages 19 to less then a year of age.

Quinton Heights, Crane and THS. I drove a red 57 Chevy white hard top to school everyday. I parked on Western early so I could get my spot. Listening to the radio before school and always had a load of friends in my car. Once I placed a banner on the side of my car from front to back for a school game. I forgot it was there and opened my car door that day.
My junior/senior year I took co-op and worked afternoon's at Merchants bank not planning to attend college after graduation. Looking back at this I realize that I missed out on all the after school activities. All said, I wouldn't change a thing as my life was blessed with Tom and our beautiful children. We have had a blessed life.
I have only great memories of Topeka High School and my friends there.
