* Remember our wash out / rain out graduation at Moore Bowl? The speaker said,” Congratulations, Graduates!”, and then we all scampered everywhere, in the downpour. We were all soggy as we exchanged our gowns for our diplomas in the THS gym. 🎓

* Mid June 1969, I flew back to Southern California to attend my former school district’s H.S. Graduation. (I moved to Kansas in mid 9th grade.) The school district allowed me to go with former classmates to “Grad Night at Disneyland” that same night. It was beautiful with night time fireworks. My best friend and I, and her mother, then stayed several days at a cabin on Santa Monica Beach. While there, we walked across the highway and went into the International House of Pies shop. There, sitting in the shop, was the Topeka High School Librarian! We both laughed and couldn’t believe it. She said she was out there visiting her son. : )

It’s been super, reading the posts from others, and connecting with friends.
I was especially touched with with comments and thoughts of those who have passed... Chip Chapman, Marvin Shellinbarger, and others. All were bright stars who departed too soon.
On the flip side, what wonderful memories of the musicals at THS! Those dancing and singing memories were great experiences. (Enjoyed singing and dancing on WU stages, too. : )
We had planned to attend the reunion, but unfortunately, a family issue arose. Instead, we will be out of town. My thoughts will be with you.
