Roger Alan Johnson of Topeka passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023.  He was born October 3, 1951 in Topeka, Kansas, son of Leland and Mildred (Herbert) Johnson.  [See recent photo in the obituary at the link below.]

He graduated from Topeka High School, Emporia State University and from barber college.  He was a member of the US Army and Army Reserves. Roger lived a life full of passion.  His passions included his love for Christ, and his loyalty and love for family and friends.  He was a sports enthusiast which included his favorite teams, the Chiefs, Royals and Jayhawk basketball.

Roger worked in many occupations following his military service and most recently was a courtesy driver for Drive Connect at Cable Dahmer and frequently shared how much he enjoyed his job and coworkers. Roger was a long time member of West Side Baptist church.  He never married but was part of a large family who he loved celebrating holidays and family birthdays with.

He is survived by two brothers.  Douglas Johnson (Ella) of Topeka, his children Jennifer Winchester (Scott) their children Brandon Winchester (Melissa) his children Owen, Benson and Milo, Courtney Winchester (Martina) her children Aria and Luna, Blake Winchester (Bailey), Cole Winchester, all of Overland Park, KS.  Douglas’ second daughter Angela Johnson (Joe Cowdin) of Topeka.  Roger’s brother Robert Johnson (Audrey) of Clermont, FL, sister-in-law Betty Johnson of Winter Garden, FL, his daughter Michele Delgado (Hector) their children Cory Williams, Julia Delgado and Nicholas Delgado, all of Clermont, FL.  Roger was preceded in death by his parents Leland and Mildred Johnson of Topeka and a niece Monica Johnson of Winter Garden, FL.
