Michael Stanwix passed away on his 59th birthday March 27, 2010. He was born March 27, 1951 to George and Lois (Tremble) Stanwix in Grantville, KS. Michael married Mary Wilson on August 17, 1998. He worked as a Construction Superintendent for Dean Ferrell for 28 years, a man he respected and admired.

Survivors include his wife Mary Stanwix; daughter, Katrina Van Aalst, Topeka; grandsons, Dalton and Austin Van Aalst; mother, Lois Stanwix; sister, Debra Stanwix, Wichita; sister, Leslie Stanwix and her partner, Kathy Starley, Franktown, CO; brother, Scott and his wife Rhonda Stanwix, Plano, TX; brother, Brian and his wife Rhonda Stanwix, Wichita, KS. He was preceded in death by his father in 2002. Michael was cremated.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7p.m. Tuesday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd., Topeka, KS 66614. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society sent in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.kevinbrennanfamily.com.
